We use art and design
to make voting less confusing and more appealing to college students
our approach

The Creative Campus Voting Project is an initiative based at the Stamps School of Art & Design at the University of Michigan

Non partisan.
Peer-to-peer.
Fun.
Accurate.

As artists and designers we bring our skills in narrative and visual design, our capacity to think sideways, create community and prompt action!

The Creative Campus Voting Project was sparked by a statistic and an insight from behavioral science.
THE STATISTIC:
Only 14% of U-M students voted in the 2014 midterms.
THE INSIGHT:
Scolding doesn’t help.
Research confirms that most students are interested in voting.
But they’re faced with a process that is new and with rules that are confusing. That’s where we come in.
Our team has been using creative action research to increase college-age voter participation since 2018. Read about our story.
